Nankhatai -eggless indian cookies might be well know by the people of Chennai who travel by the sub urban train,it just melts in your mouth. The main difference of this cookies from other is this made by ghee( clarified butter).
When my daughter was in nursery school I use to pick her up from school and return by train. While in train many people would sell this nankhatai( they call by ghee(nei) biscuit). My kid would ask for it as she likes it the most and to say the truth it will be awesome. If u get a chance to travel by local sub urban train in Chennai, try to taste some biscuit.Days fly faster, now my daughter is in middle school, yesterday we went out and had a chance to come by train, when we saw people selling it we just recollected our memories. On returning home I made this immediately.
