Poha/Flattened rice is an easy and healthy breakfast which can also be had as snack.This can be has as sweet or savoury but i love it as sweet.This one i tried from here.

- Thick poha-1 cup
- Onion-1 ,medium sized,chopped
- Green chilly-1 ,minced
- Green peas/mattar- 1\4 cup
- Oil-2 tsp
- mustard-1\2 tsp
- Peanuts-2 tsp
- Turmeric powder-1\4 tsp
- hing powder-1\8 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Sugar-generous pinch
- curry leaves- few
- lemon juice- from 1\2.
1.Wash the poha/aval well,strain excess water and keep aside.
2.Heat oil in a pan pop out mustard followed by peanuts and hing powder.Then add in chopped onion and green chilly saute till it becomes translucent.
3.Add in peas saute till it becomes soft.Then add drained poha,salt and turmeric powder mix well.cover for a minutes.
4.Lastly add lemon juice and sugar.switch off.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
1.You can add any cooked vegetables also.
