Potato curry


This is one dish which goes well with poori and chapathi.Can  also be had as side dish for rice too.




Ingredients:


(preparation time-15 min ,serves-2)

1.potato -3 medium
2.onion- 1 big
3.tomato-1
4.chilly pwdr- 1 tsp
5.turmeric pwdr-1/2 tsp
6.mustard-  to temper
7.oil
8.salt
9.coriander leaf- to garnish
10.ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp


Method:

1.wash potatoes well and cook in a bowl,fully immersed for about  5 min r till cooked.

2.cool it ,peel the skin,cut in to cubes.

3.cut onion & tomato in length wise.

4.heat oil in a kadai r pan,add mustard,onion& tomato ,ginger garlic paste and saute well.

5.then add cut potatoes, followed by two pwdrs and mix well.Just sprinkle water for the raw smell of pwdrs to leave,and add salt.mix well.

6.garnish with coriander leaf.

  1. Hi, I love your recipes! Especially the kodo millet idlis! About this recipe, how can we increase the gravy - would you add corn flour - or any other tip? Thank you,

    1. To increase the gravy add more onion and tomato else you can powder some potukadai(chutney dal) ,mix in water and add.But this will thicken fast .switch off at right stage.add spice powder accordingly for it.Hope this will help
