Cabbage thoran

Everyday we use to have differnt vegetables as sidedish for rice,this is one such.It taste good and also easy to make.Give a try.

1.Cabbage-1\4 kg
2.Onion-1 medium
3.Green chilli-2 or 1 if big
4.Jeera/cumin seeds-1 tsp
5.Turmeric powder-1\4 tsp
6.ginger-1 small piece
7.salt to taste
8.Grated coconut-3 tsp
9.oil to temper
10.Curry leaves


1.Clean & cut cabbage into small pieces.Cut onion into small pieces.

2.Grind coconut with jeera,green chilli& turmeric powder to a coarse texture(not fine).Grind in whipper mode of mixie.

3.Heat oil in a kadai,add mustard,onion,ginger,curry leaves & saute well.

4.Then add cabbage and mix well,sprinkle water & cook.

5.When half done add the ground coconut ,saltand mix well.Close for just 1 min,just for the raw smell to go.

6.Thats all your thoran is ready.enjoy with ur rice.
