Mutton curry(without coconut)

We always make mutton or chicken on sunday,its like a must for us and i like to make too.I make any rice variety with chicken or mutton as side gravy.I usually make it without coconut only.If u prefer u can add coconut.

(serves 5 ,cooking time-20 min)

1.Mutton-1/2 kg
4.Green chilli-2
5.Ginger garlic paste-1 to 2 tsp
6.Garam masala- 1 tsp
7.Red chilli powder-2 tsp
8.Coriander powder-2 tsp
9.Turmeric powder-1\2 tsp
10.oil-4 to 5 tsp( i used olive oil u may use any refined oil)
11.salt to taste.


1.Clean & cut the mutton into small pieces.Mix it with  1 tsp ginger garlic paste,1\4 cup water & cook in cooker for 4 to 5 whistle.

2.Cut onions & tomatoes.

3.Heat oil in a kadai.Add onion and saute well till colour changes.then add ginger garlic paste,saute well.then add ur cooked meat  with the water in it& mix well.

4.When all the water has dried up add all the powders,salt& mix well,then add tomatoes & saute well.

5.cut the potatoes and add to it.Adding potato to chicken or mutton curry will be very tasty,try & say how it is.

6.Then add some water for the potato & masala to cook.

7.In about 10 to 15 minutes when a layer of oil forms on top of the gravy switch off.
It taste very good with chapathi,even with bread.
