My mum use to make this diamond cuts often especially during festivals and we love eating it.She make both Sweet & salty with maida but here i have used wheat flour instead of it.

1.Wheat flour or maida- 1cup
2.Salt to taste
3.Chilly powder-1 tsp
4.Baking soda- 1\4 tsp
6.Oil to fry
1.Mix wheat flour with salt,baking soda & chilly powder well.
2.Add water little by little and knead to a soft dough.Keep it covered for 1\2 an hr.
3.As making chappathi roll it using the rolling pin.Cut it into string and then again in a shape of diamonds.
4.Mean while heat oil in pan for frying.
5.Carefully put the pieces into it for frying,When done transfer to tissue or kitchen towel
6.Repeat for all dough.
Wonderful snack for tea time.
1.For sweet version u can add powdered,sugar instead of salt & chilli and mix with adding very little water to form dough.
2.For sweet version be careful while adding water as sugar ooze out water.
