Walnut burfi may sounds somewhat different to many for me too,i got this recipe from net,since it sounds different i want to try it,it came out well.It was not hard somewhat similar to ellu urundai(sesame balls).
- Walnut- 1\2 cup (powdered)
- Sugar-2 r 3 tbsp
- Milk powder-3 tbsp
- Milk-2 tbsp
- Ghee-4 r 5 tsp
- Nutmeg powder-a pinch
1.In a bowl mix milk.milk powder,powdered sugar and nutmeg powder& keep aside.
2.In a microwave safe bowl mix walnut and ghee ,microwave for 2 min,stir after 1 min,be careful not to get burnt.
3.Add the milk mixture,mix well and microwave for another 1 min.
4.Remove and spread on a greased tray and allow to set for more than 1 hr.
5.Cut and serve.
1.Depending upon ur microwave time may vary little.
2.No need to powder the walnut well .
3.The burfi won't be smooth like mysore pak,it was chewy like.
