Rajma Sundal | Helathy Recipe

This is a simple and healthy sundal variety.When i made rajma tikki/red kidney beans cutlet i have some left over of it,i decided and made it.


  • Rajma/red kidney beans- 1\2 cup
  • Water to cook
  • turmeric powder- a pinch
  • Salt to taste

To temper:

  • Oil
  • Mustard
  • Red chilly-1
  • Hing powder- 1\2 tsp
  • curry leaves- few
  • Grated coconut- 2 tbsp


1.Soak rajma for 8 hrs or overnight.

2.Pressure cook it with enough water and salt for 3-4 whistle or till cooked.After the pressure is released drain the water and keep.

3.Heat oil in wok/pan pop out mustard followed  by red chilly ,hing and curry leaves.

4.Add the drained cooked beans to it and add a pinch of turmeric powder and check for salt.

5.Add grated coconut and switch off.

Healthy sundal is ready.


If u want little more spicy add 1\2 tsp pepper powder also.
