Looking for any easy and healthy breakfast/snack then try this recipe which is super duper easy and yummy.It can also be had as evening snack for kids from school as i made it.My kids just love it .

Ingredients:


  • Oats-1 cup(i used Quaker)
  • Water-1 cup
  • Veggies-1\3 cup(1 carrot and few beans,finely chopped)
  • Onion-1 chopped(small sized)
  • Green chilly-1 ,chopped
  • Ginger-a small piece,chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • oil-1 tsp
  • mustard-to temper
  • curry leaves



Method:

1.Heat oil in a pan,pop out mustard ,then add  onion,ginger,green chilly and curry leaves and saute for a while,followed by the chopped vegetables.Add in water and salt.Keep in low flame for it to boil.

2.when it boils add the oats to it and mix well it all water is absorbed well.Allow to cool a little.

3.When your able to make make balls take  a lemon sized  and press between ur fingers  like the one shown.Make the same for all .

4.Steam the prepared kozhukattai in a steamer/idli cooker for 5-7 mins.



Serve hot with your favourite chutney.We had it with peanut chutney.


Note:

1.You can ever dry roast the oats and make this.
