Mint -Tomato Dip | Pudhina-Tomato Chutney | Chutney recipe

This dip/chutney is very easy and came be made in jiffy if you love mint flavour then i am sure you will love this dip.


  • Mint leaves/pudhina- 2 cups (losely packed)
  • Tomato-1 big
  • Tamarind- small berry size
  • Red chilly-2(i used kashmiri variety)
  • Urad dal-1 tbsp
  • Garlic pods-3
  • oil-1 tsp
  • Salt to taste


1.Clean the mint leaves well.use the leaves alone.

2.Heat oil and saute dry chilly and urad dal till golden brown,take care not to burn it.Remove from oil.

3.In the same pan saute mint leaves and tomato and switch off.

4.Cool everything add it to a mixer along with salt and tamarind.Grind it to a paste.

Yummy and easy dip is ready to serve.


1.You can saute onion too along with tomato and add.

2.Can add roasted channa dal(chutney dal) also.
