This moong dal snack is my kids favourite specially my son's favourite.When saw this one in many blogs i decided to make my own version.Try this simple easy snack.
Soaking time-4 hrs to overnight
Cooking time-10 mins
- Yellow split Moong dal- 1 cup
- salt-to taste
- Hing powder-1\2 tsp
- Chat masala-1\4 tsp(optional)
- oil-to deep fry
1.Wash the dal well and soak it in water for minimum 4 hours.It can be soaked over night too.(i soaked it for just 4 hrs).
2.Drain out water and spread it on a cloth for it to dry well.
3.Heat oil in a deep frying pan and add the dried dal in batches and fry them well.Be careful not to burn them.
4.Drain excess oil.Add salt ,hing and chat masala (if adding) mix it well.
Cool and store or serve.
1.After reaching the smoking point add the dal to fry,but while frying keep in low flame.
