One day i said my son i will make ice cream for him as he is in his summer holiday .From that day he went keep on asking for it so two days before i decided to make for him.Its very easy sure kids will love it and i an glad this happens to be my 400th post.
Preparation time:under 30 mins
Cooking time: 15 mins
Setting time:6 hrs to overnight
- Milk- 500ml/1\2 litre
- Sugar- 1\2 cup
- Custard powder 3 tbsp(i used vanilla flavoured)
- Whipping cream-1\2 cup
1.Boil the milk in a sauce pan.Mix the custard powder in 1\4 cup for fine paste.When the milk starts to boil add the custard mix and mix well.
2.Keep stirring (u should be fast as it may form lumps) till custard mix well and forms a semi thick batter.Add sugar and switch.Let it cool a bit.
3.Whip the cream well and add the milk mix to it and whip well.Pour it in a container (with lid) and freeze it for .After 5-6 hrs take it out and blend it well again and freeze(this is to break the ice crystal if any found).
4.After it has set ,scoop it out and enjoy.
1.I just did my blending once .
2.Before whipping check for sweet.it should little more than normal since while freezing the sugar level will be decreased.
3.If you don't have a hand blender then use ur mixer .
