I love to bake more than cooking that too working with yeast has become fun and excited now a days.On fine evening I made this for tea time snack,my daughter who is the best critic of my foods finished it off saying ma,its damn good can't stop with a roll.I addition to cinnamon I also added some chocolates in the filling which is purely optional.
- Flour-2 cups
- Sugar-1\4 cup
- Oil-3 tbsp
- milk-2 tbsp
- Baking powder-1\2 tsp
- Instant yeast-1 tsp
- Powdered cinnamon-1 tsp
- Granulated sugar-1 tsp
- Grated dark compound(chocolate)-1 tsp(optional)
1.Add all the ingredients from flour to yeast in a bowl and mix first.Then slowly add warm water to knead a soft non sticky dough.Cover and keep for it to double/raise.
2.In a bowl mix cinnamon powder and sugar.Mix well.Grate some dark chocolate compound(its completely optional).
3.When the dough has raised well,punch out the air and knead again.Roll it out.spread the filling prepared on the rolled dough.Sprinkle grated chocolate too.Then roll to form a cylinder.Cut it in to equal pieces and arrange it in a baking tray.Cover and keep it to raise again.
4.After it has raised well bake it in a pre heated oven for 20-25 mins at 180 deg C till brown spots appears/sounds hallow while tapping on top.
Cool and serve for tea.
1.Baking time vary from oven to oven.
2.Here i have used instant yeast which doesn't need proofing.But if you are using dry yeast first proof it then use.
