Whole Wheat Mushroom Pizza | Healthy Pizza Recipe


After my basic pizza sauce recipe here come the pizza recipe.This is healthy compared to my first baked pizza since the base with made only with wheat flour.I actually made this for after school snack then had half of it for dinners as it was too heavy as snack for kids.

Preparation time: 15 mins( excludes resting time)
Baking time: 12-15  mins
Makes: 3 small sized pizza

Ingredients:

For pizza base:


  • Whole wheat flour- 3 cups
  • Instant yeast- 1 & 1\2 tsp
  • Sugar-1 tsp
  • salt- 1\2 tsp
  • water- 1 to 1 &1\2 cup
  • olive oil-1\3 cup


For topping:


  • Mushroom
  • Bell pepper
  • Green olives
  • Cheese 

( use these four ingredients as needed)

Other ingredient:

Pizza sauce


Method:

1.Warm 1 cup water,(.not hot).Add in yeast ,sugar and salt,just for even mixing,Mix well.( you can even avoid this step and add directly in the flour)

Then add in wheat flour,olive oil and knead the dough to a pliable one.Add water if needed.


2.Cover and rest for it to rise.When it is risen well make three balls of it.Roll each of it to a sphere shape.Cut all the topping needed for it.

These are the topping i added.( green olives,bell pepper & mushroom)


3.To the rolled dough spread a layer of pizza sauce and top with the toppings.Add grated cheese over it.( i used both grated and some block pieces too).

4.Bake it in a pre heated oven at 180 deg C till the cheese melts or the base browns a bit.


5.When out from the oven slice and serve hot.



Healthy and tasted homemade pizza is ready.

Note:

1.You can even top the toppings with red chilly flakes,dried Italian seasoning,etc.
2.While placing the pizza in baking tray for baking dust some flour with rava .By doing so we can easy take from the pan.I learnt it from a TV show,else use aluminium foil as i have used.

3.Add toppings of your choice
