If you looking for any easy dessert then this kheer comes in handy.with all ingredients easily in all kitchen pantry making it doesn't take much time.To fulfil your sweet carve do make this and indulge in its taste and aroma.

  • Rava/sooji-2 tbsp
  • milk-1 cup
  • water-1\2 cup
  • sugar-1\3 cup
  • crushed cardamon-2
  • Rose essence-1\2 tsp ( optional)
  • ghee- 2 tsp
  • cashew nuts-few


1.Heat ghee in a pan ,fry the cashew nuts and take it aside.Then in the same pan add rava/sooji and roast it for few seconds.

2.Add milk and water to it.Wait for the sooji to cook well.Add in crushed cardamon and essence( if using).

3.when the rava is cooked add sugar and stir for few minutes.Switch off when it begins to thick.Add in fried nuts to it.

serve warm or cold.

Tastes good in both way.:P


1.As it cools it get thicken so switch off at correct time.
2.Even it if get thicken dilute the payasam with some milk and serve.
3.Don't add more rava/sooji than mentioned as it may look like halwa in end.
