If you any looking some easy snack or breakfast to fill your hungry stomach then this recipe comes as a great rescue.Here I have added grated carrot and green peas but you can add vegetables of your choice.I made this long back when I had some packet of left over puffed rice distributed from our apartment.I made it as after school evening snack but you can also have it as breakfast.

- Puffed rice/pori- 2 cups
- oil-1 tbsp
- mustard seeds-1\2 tsp
- bengal gram-1\2 tsp
- onion-1,finely chopped
- green chilly-1,chopped
- ginger-a small piece,chopped
- green peas-2 tbsp( cooked)
- Red chilly powder-1\2 tsp( optional)
- chaat masala-1\2 tsp
- turmeric powder-1\4 tsp
- salt- to taste
- coriander leaves- to garnish
1.Soak the puffed rice in water for 2-3 minutes.(not more than that).Squeeze it from water and keep aside.
2.Heat oil in a pan,Pop out mustard seeds followed by ginger,green chilly and onion.saute till it becomes translucent.
3.Then add in grated carrot and boiled green peas.Saute till carrot it cooked a bit.
4.Then add dry spice powders,salt and drained puffed rice.Saute well till everything get mixed up.
5.Add in chopped coriander leaves and switch off.
1.Add veggies of your choice.
2.Don't soak the puffed rice in water for long time as it may becomes too watery and the upma may Be soggy.
