I am here with a good news that my blog moved from blogspot to domain, yes it had been more than three plus years since I started to write and was wandering to move to domain.I knew it involves some technical works and keep it away for a long time. When we in native during Xmas holiday I shared this with my nephew and he immediately assured to do help me in transformation.Saturday when he messaged me about this I wonder how soon and thought to wait for some time. But things will happen as already decided by God and yes by God's grace my simple blog moved to a new domain yesterday.I thank my nephew for his interest in it.To double the joy with you all I share a checkerboard cake which I made on October for my daughter's 16th birthday. With no fancy pan I made it and its quite simple.
Vanilla cake-1 (6 " cake)
chocolate cake-1 (6 " cake)
butter cream icing-as needed
Bake your own two flavored ( colored cake) either with or without egg.I made eggless vanilla and chocolate cake.
1.When both the cakes are cooled, use bowls or rings and mark circles in the cake.I used bowls.
2.Then using sharp knife cut them and keep for both vanilla and chocolate cakes.
3.Swap the cut part of both cakes so that in a cake it look as chocolate, vanilla and chocolate pieces and vice versa for the other.Apply butter cream in between the cut portions for it to seal well.
4.Place some icing on the cake board and place the cake one above the other, apply frosting in between them.( i just made two layers).
5.Apply icing all over it and decorate as per your wish.I used the icing pen which my brother presented me to make a very simple design.
1.Here i have taken brown and vanilla cake, but you can use any two colored cake to make this.
2.Also I just made two cakes and hence two layers but if you want four layer then make four cakes two with same color and proceed.
3.Instead of butter icing you can also use chocolate icing or ganache.
