Ragi Coconut Milk Kozhukattai | Millet Flour Balls in Sweetened Coconut Milk | Festive Recipe

Another millet flour sweet dumpling in jaggery sweetened coconut milk.When it comes to sweet I never deprive of anything and would just happily indulge in it.Yesterday I made for my sweet craving and enjoying it chilled even today.I have already posted Foxtail millet flour sweet dumpling with coconut milk and paal kozhukattai with rice flour.Do give a try and eat healthily.

  • Ragi flour -1\2 cup
  • Rice flour-1\3 cup
  • Salt- 1 tsp
  • Thin coconut milk-1 cup
  • Thick coconut milk-1\2 cup
  • Crushed jaggery - 1\3 cup
  • Cardamom crushed-3

Ragi paal kozhukattai


1.Add both flours, salt in a bowl. Slowly add water and make a soft dough. Make small balls of it.

2.Steam these balls in idli pan/cooker.

3.Boil thin coconut milk.Add crushed jaggery and streamed balls to it and allow it to boil.

4.Add in crushed cardamom.When the mix gets thicken add in thick coconut milk. Switch off after a boil.

Tasty and healthy ragi paal kozhukattai.Serve for breakfast or eat for a snack.


1. Instead of coconut milk, you can use regular milk also.
2. Sugar can be substituted for jaggery.
