The ratio of rice and poha is only the important thing init.Poha/rice flakes ratio must be half of the quantity of that of rice. You can use any poha variety brown or white.Soak rice for two hours and poha for just 30 mins before grinding. You can serve this appam with any side dish either veg like white kurma, potato stew ot non-veg like beef mappas or maasi (dried fish variety).
